I'm old, so I followed Factory records since Joy Division and actually saw the Happy Modays live... I never made it to the Hacienda though. I loved that film.

It is a great film, very well done and interesting history of UK club culture.

Anyone see the interviews on the DVD? The one of Sean Ryder has to be the worst advert ever for taking drugs - the man can barely get a word out!

It's scary how well they recreated the Hacienda in the film, so much so that it actually looked identical to the real thing... brought back a lot of memories. R.I.P. The Hacienda :cry:

I was one of the lucky ones that go to go to the Hacienda, i`ve said before but back in it`s time it was the best club around, and still is the best club i`ve ever been to. Sometimes it could be a little intimidating because of some of the characters that were in there but the atmoshpere was second to none.

It turns my stomach to know now that it is a block of flats. :cry:

R.I.P the Hac.

24 hour party people is a great film.

I really liked how the commentary was done - it's not unusual to have the main character narating the story, but this was different - at times it was almost like he was just chatting about things while watching the film... Excellent scripting.

Loved this movie - although the English have always been great to make themselves the centre of the world...

If you wouldn't know better, you would believe after seeing this movie that house music was invented/started in England.

Doesn't make the movie less good - really loved the format and the humour

24 hour party people is the shiznite, by far the best movie of 2002 then Rules of Attraction is followed right by that for 2002.
