with all the talks about x360 and ps3 ... anyone planning to get this?
im probably getting this for christmas just to tide me through till the price drop for ps3 ... u cant go wrong with some Zelda and the nintendo back catalogue
Corven: I think you'll have a long wait for the PS3 price drop. I can't see Sony dropping the price until about late 2008 or so, unless it doesn't sell well, which I'm sure it will.
I can't wait to see how much someone is willing to spend to get one (on eBay).
ps3 is way too over priced... xbox360 is reasonable for high def gaming... ps3 and 360 both only output 1080i right? (not 1080p). 360 is also coming out with a HD-DVD addons (only for movies) which is kind of good since there are way more HD-DVD movies than Blu-ray. However, the ps3 will be killer graphics 2nd to none. But the price tag is ridiculous. Want to play "flOw" to test out the new motion sensing controller... it's meant to showcase its capabilities really well. Some other games not so good.
But I really think I wanna get a Wii... Wii sports is a bundled game you get with it, and the tennis game with it is supposed to be really good, infact could be a standalone game. Holding that "nunchuck" and swinging like a crazy man... love it
the only positive for the PS3 (vs. xbox) right now is the graphics and I say "ONLY" because you need a Hi-Def compliant TV. You'll need it for the xbox too but it's $200 cheaper and so a more logical alternative.
You could end up buying both, a Wii and the base 360 and still come out cheaper than the PS3.
But the only thing that the Wii can do (and apparently does really well) is play games. no dvd player, media player, nothing.

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

well ... i buy a game console to play game and nothing else ... if i really need the other functions i would get some other gadgets that does those functions
on a side note its nice that the ps3 comes with a blu-ray drive for movies since its games come in blu-ray discs .. but i dont need it for movies i just want them games
I'm torn, definately between P3 and the Wii. A little discouraged with my Game Cube. The lack of new games in the past 2 years was lame. Don't want to get stuck in that boat again. I think the same thing might happen with the Wii. Nintendo spends less money on games, to help them make more. So they never have a wide selection like Sony or Microsoft.
