    Hernan Cattaneo [MetroDance 2006]

i was just wondering if its just me or does anyone share this thought with me

i dont know why Hernan Cattaneo is doing with playing all these electro stuff

his show in 2005 and 2004 had the most amazing underground and deep house tunes i ever heard but since the begining of 2006 he started getting all electro as well.

does anyone have a clue why did that shift in style happen!!?

^^^ He's not!! A few tracks have an electro tinge to them but on a whole he has been absolutely brilliant this year!! Some of the best stuff I've ever heard from anyone.

btw I am not a fan of electro but if you can still dance to it I'll put up with it.

This change of sound you are talking about ... in Argentina we call it ... EVOLUTION!

Hernan is one of the best djs I had ever heard in my hole life. Also his residents are amazing ... musica ... as all ... evolute, but what is more important when you listen Hernan, is that he never loose the groove he always have when he plays music!

            Peace!

            Juan.

Next saturday, he will be playing at Creamfields, Bsas

            Sorry about my english

Hernan plays everything he likes from Deep House to Prog House to Prog to Tribal to Minimal House to whatever...don't put him in a drawer because he does not fit in. If his residents show were 2 hours pure prog house they would be less appealing to me because I like the mixture of his weekly shows as it is. What you heard was already there in 2005 and earlier, maybe in smaller portions but it was there already. His sound is changing through the Years as it is for most other DJs and don't forget one thing: in opposite to Digweed who records 4 hours max. in a month, Hernan mixes up 8 hours per month as he has no guests and rarely features live mixes anymore (big loss) besides touring and other stuff he needs to do...mixing robot in a hotel room imo.

Sometimes he plays banging peak time prog tracks, some time classic tracks are featured here and there and all the time he supports unkown talents by playing their tracks. Also tell me one track he played that is classified as Electro...some people just have wrong things in mind when they talk about Electro. I heard some even think that in case a guitar is sampled or played in a track it is an electro song already.

I agree with Tom Tom also. Whatever you call it, the music he is playing at the moment is brilliant. Metrodance has shaded the Jondi & Spesh show for me this year, purely for it's frequency.

I think I've heard about 2 bad shows this year, as opposed to about 20 I have on my mp3 player.

                      Hernan playing electro? Nonsense

Hernan's sets can range from deep house to breaks, his real quality
in his ability to find tracks from various genres and make them
into his own sound, not to many people have that talent.

All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soon

So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:

                            1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
                            2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
                            3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
                            4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...

                            Am I close here?
