Does remind me of twilo, in fact i remember reading Sasha and Diggers saying it was a reflection of what a night at twilo sounds like, around that time. I listen to both discs regularly, but i really love cd 2. Cd1 is completly excellent also.

disc 2 (digweed) is definitely better than disc 1 (sasha), but both are phenomenal.

personally, i think its their best work, but i'm probably in the minority on that one...

Both discs are mixed by both DJ's. Albeit far from their best "work" I found the album as whole pretty dull apart from the Schiller track. Average for Digweed but nothing like Sasha of old.

^^^no not their best(that, at least them together, would be NE 1 CD2), but one i really enjoy it, in fact i think it IS one of their better works.. very representive of the time!!!!

I think communicate exemplifies a deeper / darker / more chemical / take you to a different state of mind mix that most find it hard to get into as opposed to the comparatively more "commercialized" (from a typical sound-of-the-times perspective) tracks on the Expeditions CDs. Hence we're seeing the the lack of due recognition for this double cd.

I can see that angle, but for me the whole thing just lacks emotion, it's just dull for me (except for the Schiller/PFN thang around the end) Proper dance music.

i do enjoy expeditions, but Communicate is a little better then expeditions. Expeditions cd 2 IS THE SHIT though. i like what the sightless said about the first 4 tracks on cd 2, perfect. Mess With Da Bull is a TERRIFIC track. might have to go pick that one up.....

I really have not listened to any old sasha & digweed mix cds in forever. I will have to try to pull them out and give them a listen. To much new music out there and not enough time to listen to classics.

Couldn't agree with you more...As much as I love Expeditions. Headphones is definitely a must.

some of the tracks were dated when this was realeased cuz they were so commercialized, but i will give it another listen keeping the deepness aspect in mind
