Re: something i noticed-- fox news

the sadest part is that the approach they take...this sensationalism approach...actually works for themajority of the folk in the states...i mean the channel was actually a forunner in the top 3 during and after 911...mingling amongst cnn and bbc....
the fact remains that it IS a source of news for a fuk load of americans out there...and this o riley dick....he has his fans...along with the rest of the twiddly diddly group of gossipers that provide the need to know flash news and when to shop and what to buy and who tomcruise fondled while he was vacation....

this shit is on in so many living rooms every morning and every night...and i contend and am sad to say that this is what we are coming to..this is what we are treated like..this is what it supposed to be important for us....well atleast us as in u.s.....
this approach of thiers and delivery included works wonders on the american eyes that gawk at the flashy lights and bright dots designed to cause epileptic fits among the unfortunate, the rest a hypnotic ever extending trip into what we should be thinking....

fox news is exactly whats wrong with the u.s today...everything about it screams look at me im a one eyed two toothed honky tonk from tha sticks and them tearists are stealin ma country so imagonna shee oot them bastards....and gaad bless america...mm mm mm...now pass me the bucket o chicken while i sip dis gallon of diet coke and put on dat tv....

I am sorry, but you guys are entirely wrong. There is not a single news station that is fair, honest and un-biased. I watch all stations, and I read all lib and con news sites. This is what a person must do to get the most accurate information and process it to their best ability. You guys attack FOX for what ABC, CBS, CNN, etc, have been doing for decades and that is feeding the public up right Liberal bull shit.

Yes Fox News is a conservative station, but it my perspective they give at least some glimpse of the truth.

You may ask yourself why are other networks getting conservatives on their stations? They are getting their asses kicked by Fox. People are choosing to watch. I think most of you missed that whole point. It is your choice to turn on the tv and it is your choice to put on Fox. Simply, is what the public wants.

I do watch Bill O'Reilly and it is not because I enjoy his show, I actually can not stand the guy. I do watch because he challenges my train of thought. To be strong in any argument you must know exactly the opposite of your argument.

comment of the week. i would rather have my opinion on a topic, and know where the so called opposition comes from. you wont learn anything about your own views until you see what else is out there. i wont go to foxnews.com ever, but i will pop on their network from time to time. and the same for MSNBC after imus. (i watch him religiously). CNN, of the big american 3, is the most neutral, but also the worst with sensationalism and fireworks. they make a big deal too much. the BBC is great , imho, as it usually gives the outsiders viewpoints, and both sides as well. you will get pro and anti war sentiment in interviews from ppl outside the US politcal process.

the only thing i must give credit to in regards to the big 3 US news networks, is thier coverage of emerging and emergency news. they fight each other to get more reporters and scoops, and that helps us. for instance, the NOLA and the asian quake and tsunami. sadly, they were fighting for ratings, but we, in the end, benifitted because instead of having 3 guys at the FEMA HQ, we had 50 on the ground. i remember watching shepard smith in a boat, with 3 blakc guys, going house to house, helping ppl, you at least got the idea of what was really happpening.

while alleging bias in other news forums, people tend to gravitate towards the news sources that best represent their own biases.

            Very true.

For example... those attacking FoxNews as right-wing, while claiming the BBC is fair & balanced.
