I started playing it this week and it's the best graphically looking game I've seen. It's worth buying a XBOX 360 just to play that game.
To update on this - Gears has ruined me for other games at this point. I've tried playing a few other games, but Gears is so far ahead graphically and fun to play that I don't enjoy other games.
Btw, Gamespot gave it game of the year.
