Hello friends,

After a long silence the show is back...!

When I knew that mercurysessions was going to close, after so much time of constant effort from everybody... hosting, coordinating, bringing good artists, info, experience, sounds together... I was like: #@%$ fck...!!!! So I decided to break with everything and not do this anymore.

But now, after a great summer in Ibiza and the south coast of Spain, playing and partying a lot, listening to such good artists... I finally determined that I still want to show you what is happening in the most advanced underground.

Joe Barajas

This Venezuelan?s career in music begins in New York City in 1996, spending six years in this city developing his skills and knowledge in and around electronic music.
Better known as Dj Mellow, just in a few months after starting to spin, this dj found himself having his first residency at The Basement (The Tunnel) in NYC. Not long after that he is offered residency at Limelight, where together with photographer Jacob Mikkelsen where completely in charge of the VIP room, offering innovative music and visuals to New York City?s jet set.

In 1998 he travels to Miami for his first appearance at the Winter Music Conference.

In 2001 he returns to Venezuela, where he finds himself surrounded by a scene dominated by techno , anyways he imposes his style (tech house, deep house) into the local scene having a real impressing acceptance from the locals.

In 2002 he begins his own independent club and party scene, called Climax, and all of them produced in between Caracas and Margarita Island. He also had residencies at Elmo Bar, Living Room Lounge and Suka Bar during this period.

In 2004 Dj Mellow goes into a new artistic makeover, his new name and image Joe Barajas, today offering the best and most innovative music around, for those exceptionally expert music lovers.

To the date Joe Barajas shares his talent with Galaktika Records Crew, he resides in Venezuela and specializes in styles like Tech House, Minimal and Electro. He is constantly booked at most important venues, and is constant in his never ending search for the perfect set.
