Re: Walmart not afraid of saying Merry Christmas

I also get pissed off at people who associate Santa with Christmas.....and NOT Jesus Christ.

I am sure Saint Nick existed and gave presents to the poor kids ....but shouldnt that be a part of everyone's daily doctrine ....give alms to the needy? Or is that just in Islam where its required.
Why do people choose the fat guy who gives them presents over the "son of God" who saved their eternal souls. Its OBVIOUS to me...who should be celebrated...on CHRISTmas day, but why doesnt everyone else?

Could it be...that society is moving away from religion? People will fight to the death for a religion they barely follow. LOL....Silly people..

Maybe we should follow L Ron Hubbard.....and believe that space aliens put us here.

If thats the case...then why do we need to set aside 1 day our of 365 days to give alms to the needy? Should it not be a part of our daily life?

it is supposed to be a part of daily life according to religion, but that is far from the only meaning of Christmas to Christians...just because corporate America has done such a good job of marketing the shit out of the holiday doesn't mean that's the only angle to the holiday.

Thats true...that is not necessarily the only angle there is....but thats the angle which is predominant here.

It's tradition, that's all. Same reason we're celebrating Thanksgiving soon and eating turkey. People like some traditions, makes em feel good.
