A self confessed trance head in my younger days, I still own a few trance cd's.Feeling sentimental a few days ago I stuck an old Seb Fontaine 'Elements' cd from about '97. The mixing in SO BAD it actually made me feel sick. How something that piss poor was ever released is beyond me. I know trance was never really about the smoothness of the mix, but this one is ridiculous.

Seb is a terrible DJ and always has been. I heard him at Pacha Ibiza in 1999 and he played Cafe del mar 98 (Nalin & Kane mix) and mixed it out BEFORE the breakdown - even though everyone was into it and was waiting for the breakdown.

Pisses me off that people like him and Brandon block ever made it so big

Forgot to add, there is nothong wrong with trance, in certain situations.

^^^^ that's right. last year I went to a party where AvB played and I ended up fucking the furniture. Dunno if it was cuz of the music or the pound of columbian marching powder up my nose, but hey who's keeping score right?

I entirely disagree with this unfounded abuse of the Tong. Have seen him play three times, once in Bristol time ago, one a Homelands a couple of years ago and once at Ministry failry recently, and every time he's played a blinder. True he may have a pretty dire radio show, but he's worth a watch live.

Once saw tong trying to mix out of Bushwacka's remix of Billie Jean, in front of a 4000 strong crowd at Birmingham NEC. He failed to realise the pitch change towards the end of the record, and totally cocked it up big time.

Hint: always listen to records before you play them out, especially at big gigs
