I absolutely love the xone92! In the past I was using a DJM 500, and I used to think that was the dog's bollocks... but the 92 blows it away completely. The first thing I noticed after hooking up the 92 was the immediate improvement of sound quality. Everything sounded warmer, crisper, fuller... the 500 in comparison would seem muddy or murky. The only small gripe I had initially switching over was the placement and accuracy of the LED meters per channel on the 92. I was so used to the LED meters being right next to the EQs, as well as a marker for each 1 decibel, that the 92's range threw me off a bit as far as gain was concerned... that and the upfaders are really sensitive with their sound curve towards the top.

Unfortunately I have not been able to compare it to a DJM 800 as of yet.

do you see yourself using the MIDI mapping and built in EFX that the DJM 800 offers? if not, then go with the 92...

i doubt i'll get too much into the midi mapping. i've played around with Ableton alittle bit but nothing serious. does the xone have any effects? i really should read more up on it..lol..i do like to use some effects. as right now i have the numark ppd01 and can be quit the flanger whore..

ps...and if i was to get more into ableton i'd probably spring for the xone3d

The only on board effect the 92 has is the filter, which is pretty class... though it can accommodate an external effects processor through its AUX inputs, it's not as integrated as the 800 seems to be.

that's a good question, but it's a lot closer of an argument now with the new 800 and the quality of sound it has. I still wish the damn thing had full kills on the EQ.

Being that I no longer have decks, I might wanna become a digital dj...just until I can get some equiptment. Nothing like tweakin all those knobs on my old 600.

both mixers can actually. but you could also spring for the xone3d which is made specially for traktor or ableton.

yeah, there is NO WAY I would pay that much for a mixer. I guess for now I could just use the midi control in my oxygen8 to do the business of mixing in ableton, or tractor.

you can snag a 92 for less than $1500, just have to look around... most places have MAP prices that you email them for lower price than shown...

I'd say. I'm thinking about when I get some time in with my job, going to Guitar Center when they have that 18 months payless, and getting myself a DJM-800. Cause at this moment...it's gonna take me a while to get that kind of money saved up.
