Right.. I'm going to pull out one a card I don't think I've ever pulled in over three years of doing .AUdio ...it's the "one of the best live sets ever" card. I'm putting it into top 5 .. maybe top 3 .. that I've ever heard; let alone recorded. Boy.. you guys are in for a fucking treat, juuuuust let me tell you!

The situation is this. Anthony Pappa, basically, is one of the best technical mixers in the world and happens to have an incredibly good ear for top shelf music. It's not up for discussion - it's just fact. The guy was mixing at 13. He won the DMC championship at 15. It's totally appropriate to mention him in the same breath as John Digweed. Did I mention he's also an Aussie? Must be a fucken good bloke then eh? I just knew you'd see it my way.


You know those sets that you listen to when you're not sure if you want to go out - but you chuck iton and you find you just caaaan't wait to lace up your finest dancefloor shoes?

You know those sets that you listen to on the day after, when it's 11am and everyone's starting to fold - but "that track" drops with a perfect mix and suddenly everyone's alive again?

You know those sets that you throw into the car stereo and you can't help but find yourself doing "the emu" with your head and shoulders at the traffic lights?


Sha-bing. We have Anthony Pappa - live at Sweetchilli, Oct 28 2006 for over 3 hours. It's everywhere you wanna be, baby.

...and my impression of the [ms] userbase in the past two+ years is that they (and I) hold Diggers up as one of the most impressive technical DJs we've ever known. There are very few who should be in the same bracket. Pappa is one of those few.

Bollox, sorry mate. I misread it as 'inappropriate'! I totally agree, Pappa, Digweed and Howells are by far the best mixers imo..

Pappa is way better than Digweed anyway - I don't care what anyone says. Probably the best technical mixer out there.

Sounds like an exclusive ms download to me. Can't wait. I agree with Ruby when pappa is on he is amazing. But as of late I have not cared for his sets at all. He seems to play the same boring epic records over and over again that everyone else rocked months earlier. I am really hoping this is different and it is a slam good set.

I can 2nd Grants Recommendation...
I was there front row center dancing right along with Grant the whole set.... It was MASSIVE, but when is sweetchilli not massive????

MMMMMMmmm i cant wait to hear this again.... was banging, melodic and if memory serves me correct even a litle dark in between... lucky he gave us that little rest in the middle i was sooo fuckin tired from all the dancing..
