Eccentric Beats Presents:
Son Of The Electric Ghost, Carbon Community and Kraddy
Son Of The Electric Ghost
Son Of The Electric Ghost makes his much anticipated return to Minneapolis on March 1st. His debut performance at Mell's Beauty Bar in front of a capacity crowd was one of the best shows Eccentric Beats has thrown since its inception in 2003.
Reactions from his debut show:
"That was an absolutely INSANE night of music!" - Jack Trash
"Dance music doesn't get a whole lot better than what we heard Saturday night. He delivered pure cutting-edge Breaks with attitude..." - Moksha
"F*ck yeah, last night was a good time!!! SOTEG rocked!!" - Anna1814
Considered by Breakspoll to be "America's hottest up-and-coming talent", his legendary LIVE PA's have destroyed dancefloors throughout North America and Europe, including the superclub Fabric in London. With his label, Bless, receiving support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela, Freddie Fresh and Phil K, there is little reason to miss this!
Carbon Community
Since launching onto the scene in 2003 with a release on the U.S. label Moonshine Music, the Carbon Community, aka Dave Cannon, hasn't sat still. Over the last three years, Dave has found himself working with labels Bless Records, Dorigen Music, Blue Plasma, Renaissance, and in 2004 launched his own label Sober Music.
Along with writing under the Carbon Community alias, Dave has also found himself collaborating with fellow Texan, Son of the Electric Ghost under the surname loBudg. Combining both melodic passages with glitched out edits and heavy bass, the Carbon Community has found his niche, and continues to deliver his unique sound to crowds around the globe.
Coming from a live music background, the Carbon Community adds an element of excitement to his performances that many artists lack. Merging live drums, live synthesizers, and on occasion live vocals, the Carbon Community has mesmerized audiences from his home town off Dallas, to the Love Parade in San Francisco, the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, and all the way to Britains infamous night of breaks, Trigger.
Bringing his own original music that is as equally stimulating to the mind as it is the body, the Carbon Community has become one of Americas top live acts, and continues to push the envelope for live electronic music. Over the last few years, Dave has found himself sharing the stage with some of electronic music?s best, such as, Prodigy, Hybrid, Uberzone, Future Funk Squad, and Public Enemy, and shows no signs of slowing down.
Kraddy
Known for his intuitive ability to carve beats out of the bits, Kraddy (Matthew Kratz) has made a name for himself internationally as a producer and a DJ. His releases on Muti Music, Bless Records, Blunted Funk, Ghost Dog Recordings and his own label, Refiner Records have set him apart as a producer with a truly extra-ordinary sound.
Kraddy?s unique tweak has taken him from his home in San Francisco to LA, NY, Portland, Seattle, San Diego, Maui and even earned him a headlining slot at Trigger in Birmingham UK. He has shared the stage with Tipper, Freq Nasty, Krafty Kuts, The Freestylers, Terry Hooligan, SOTEG, and Bassnectar. He has also been featured on NuBreaks.com, BreakinAsia.com, and Cnet.com as well as being reviewed by XLR8R, URB, BPM, Rinse, Undercover Magazine, Mofo and Bay Area Buzz.
Kraddy?s music implicates cybernetic breaks with asymmetrical dub delays and hip hop grooves with dark ethereal melodies. At times his music is technical and frenetic and calls to mind images of genetically mutated earthworms, poping and locking deep underground to sub atomic frequencies, causing minute shifts in the structure and alignment of the tectonic plates, that over millennia will alter the magnetic core of the planet and thus change its frequency field steering its evolution towards greater harmony and a more peaceful form.
Other times he weaves together webs of moody etheresque clouds akin to the sounds of alternate life forces manipulating hydrogen and carbon molecules into biomechanical nanobots that imperceptibly permeate the neuronets of sleeping subjects from light years away in a methodical attempt to preserve and record the neural, synaptic and chemical makeup of all matter.
