recycling is a very expensive process, hats why many cities dont have the motivation to start recycling, they need to spend the money on more important things. i know we have to pay alot in taxes to have our recylceing picked up, maybe becasue i live in california, but every city around here recycles though.

when i was in japan, i saw how there recycling system works, instead of having for example paper cans and plastic, they have like 12 diffenert bins for different kinds of recycling and reusing.

I know I should, but they really don't make it easy to do around here. I did back when, but I wouldn't have the foggiest where to take it now.

Good news is that the homeless tend to rummage through our dumpster and collect anything that can be recycled, so I guess it's getting done that way.

When I lived in places that didn't recycle, I would put the recyclables in a seperate bag to make it easier on the homeless

One of the interesting facts about recycling is that it costs so much because not enough people are doing it. If more people would recycle, the cost of recycling would go down to such a point as to make it more profitable to recycle.

I recycle everything I can and try to encourage people I know to also. My parents set the example when I was a kid (back when it was all do-it-yourself) and I have followed suit every since.

It pisses me off to see a pile of plastic bottles in a trash can because some asshole is to lazy to separate it from the other trash. "I don't have time to worry about that shit." But you've got time to sit on your ass and watch TV, right dickhead?? We didn't have it when I lived with my ex last year, so we bagged it up and took it to her parent's house.

Most of this world will be a landfill in a hundred years. And yet some people don't seem to care that that bottle will be sitting there until the end of the world.
