I opted for the 7509s.... the 7506s felt too cheap... they are basically like the v6s

What are better? Sony MDR-7509's or Pioneer HDJ1000's?

Mavbee... but the 7506s are 90 euros cheaper, they cost 139eur + 25eur of postage
        the 7509 cost 229eur + 25 eur.

remember, you get what you pay for... the 7509s are more comfortable than the HDJ1000s and not as flashy... also, the 7509s cover your ear completely because they are circum-aural... I have BEEN USING both.

                        @ nebra

i bought my first pair of real headphones back in 2000. same model as yours 7506. i have loved them and they sounded good til about a year ago when they started wearing down a little. i always prefferred mine over anyone else's as i had gotten used to them and the sound quality (for me) was excellent.

recently i was given a new pair of 7506's (friend works for allen & heath) and they sound awesome. i absolutely love them. they got broken in proper the first day i had them. and as for home listening, they're great as well.

                        hope this helps.

A question for moderator: Is calling names a habit in this forum?
As I know from other forums this kind of post is usually erased.
Especially from a person who has heard those names from his parents and doesn't know
                            what they mean.

Oh, so a different opinion on the headphones is not validated?
