    Re: Sony Mdr-7506

His post was more helpful to me 'cause you compared the 7506s with hdj1000s
which I don't know. Simple as that.
But anyway I thank you too for the answer.

actually, take a look... I compared them to the V6s and the 7509s... not just the HDJ1000s

I own the 700's and for me, they are the most comfortable hearing device in the world, please be so kind to advise me on why your 7506's & 7509's are better than mine.

                Re: Sony Mdr-7506

Comparing the MDR700s to the 7509s, I would say that the 7509s are much more comfortable to wear over extended period of times, and they sound better... the mids and highs feel more clean and accentuated. The 700s sound muddy in comparison, but again this is all personal opinion and that varies from ear to ear. I figure you get what you pay for really.

                      Re: Sony Mdr-7506

I started on the v700s and graduated to the 7506s. The 7506s are much lighter and much more comfortable than the 700s. They are also a bit more accurate and sharp in their frequency response when compared to the 700s which are more bass heavy and sound a bit muddy IMO.

Another great feature of the 7506s (and I don't know of any other headphone you can do this with) is that they can be taken apart very easily. Sony actually gives you the diagram for breaking them down and a complete parts list. this means that if you ever break them, you can fix them yourself very easily.

hey all just searched and got this thread. Quick question for everyone here.

I currently own sony mdr-500, had them for about 5 years and they are still working. BUT the rubberish headband or whatever is starting to dissintegrate and its annoying cuz i get little black pieces in my hair and they fall off every once in awhile.
ANYWHO, i notice that the 700's have that, 7506's dont... after hearing good things about the 7509's, jsut wondering is there a problem with this with them? If so, might have to get a pair of 7506's... rugged = good.

                        thanks.

I too have the v700, but before those I had some cheap Techniques that weren't even for dj'ing... so I love my 700's.

And like Caley said, the 700's do start to feel uncomfortable after a long period of time on my ears.

I've noticed after a good 2 to 3 hours on my head my ears are soar, the little boney circular parts.. I guess I should take breaks and watch tv or something lol!

I have the mvr-600's and have had them for at least five years now. They stil sound sweet and they are comfortable as hell. but like mentioned bedore the black rubber stuff does start to come off after a while. They were only $100. can't complain.
