Re: First blow of the year
We got rain and 72 degrees today..crazy temp for December! and this is after an entire week of mid 60 degree weather...yesterday I put on shorts
but alas the good weather is coming to end dramatically with a 20-30 degree drop by tomorrow and possible snow on Monday."Work like you don't need the money.

Re: First blow of the year
We got hit with the remnants of that KC storm last night, and let me tell you, it fucking sucks. We did get some snow, but it was more sleet and freezing rain, which is turn has resulted in something like a half a million people in St. Louis without power -- including us -- and 2.5 million across eastern MO and Southern Illinois.
Some of you may recall that St. Louis was hit by a positively biblical storm in July that knocked out power in most of the city. When we lost power then, I theorized that it would be better to lose power in the winter because it is easier to warm yourself up than to cool yourself down. Little did I know I'd have the opportunity to test that theory so quickly...

Nothing here yet expect wind & rain but it is on its way. It is supposed to snow over night in Ohio but I have no idea how we are supposed to get. Looks like it is going to be the first crappy weekend in a while.Common Sense is not Common at all.Comment

Feel free to stop in for a hot tody and some heat if you get chilly at your place. Christy skipped work today too. We're cooking chili and drinking beer all day. Sam Adams Winter Lager at the moment.

Re: First blow of the year
Appreciate it, but we're covered. Heading out to the more dog-friendly environs of the county until we get our power back. I'm at the office now, but I'm calling it a day pretty much any minute, as soon as the little woman returns with the Jeep.Comment
