USA octane ratings are different than the rest of the world.
We use the (RON+MON)/2 method. Rest of the world uses RON method.
So... 93 octane in the USA is about like 98 octane elsewhere.
Some stations around here sell 102 octane gas, but it's like $4+ a gallon.
Besides, my cars both call for 91 octane or higher. There is little point in using higher octane than your minimum rating. So no need for 102 in my cars.
