mine is a tad sluggish since I have "shared" video memory.... but overall I love how stable it is

There are few other software incompatibilities like PcAnywhere and Symanctec Antivirus, but within the month there will be new versions of both for the enterprise. Other than that it's very stable, but I was able to blue screen it trying to install my vpn software. Which was a shock, but I have other methods to get in to where I work so it wasn't a show stopper!

nice one funky, how are you finding Vista ?? Do you have the final release or RC ? Care to share your laptop config ?

I like it so far, but I am having a problem with my vpn. So what I did was create a virtual machine and am running XP using my vpn (which I only use once every three weeks for call). I have Vista Enterprise (the final release) and my configs are:
Dell Latitude D810
1 gig of ram
Radeon X600
40 gig drive.

Runs like a champ!

do some of you already have vista???? how did you get it. Doubt i will until i know for sure it works well and I have at least 1 gig of ram in my laptop.

Vista works and works really really well. I am extremely pleased with the security features and how "SOLID" it feels when you run apps etc. But more than 1 GB of ram, make sure you have a good video card to enjoy Vista in all its eye candy GLORY that they have included.

As for getting it, Microsoft is giving away RC1 for free on their website. It expires June 2007 - which is ample time to use it and buy a licensed copy.
