5 essential tunes for me this year:

Micah-Cry A River (Jumpin Dub) - such a wicked action packed tune, Micah's best ever IMO

Kenneth Thomas - Orange Room(Nick Warren Mix) - back to the prog of old, the riff is tremendous

Cirez D-Copyrat - best tune I heard in a club this year, so so bouncy!

Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms - a brilliant remix of a club callsic

The Timewriter - Room of a Million Rainbows - one word: beautiful

3 excellent sets from 2006:

Shiloh - floppy discs mix March - packed full of tuneage

sasha - jjj mixup oct 2006 - the man like back to form

Anthony Pappa - at Livewire from early 2006 - peak time madness from pappalardo!

Hernan Cattaneo - mainy because i downloaded a load of his metrodance sets, but each one is so damn good, rarely plays the same tunes two sets running, the man is the best prog dj on the planet right now.

Crap with track names but it has been a quality year for EDM.SO many unbelievable tunes. Top DJ has to be Digweed for me. Was so disapointed with his stuff last year which did not do it for me at all. Have heard some fucking amazing sets this year and some great kiss shows. There are loads of shit hot djs around but no one can touch Digweed when he is on form!!!

Eric Prydz's remix of Switch - A Bit Patchy was far and away my favorite tune of the year. Heard it for the first time when Sasha and Digs were at Crobar right around WMC and have yet to get sick of it. Ranks right up there with Lovesky - Drums for Better Daze (excession mix) and Shiller - Rhue as one of my all time favorites.

16 Bit Lolita's were also on fire this year, Sedna is a fucking gem of a tune, but just about everything they touched was gold as far as I'm concerned.

And I think a big round of applause should go out to everyone involved in putting that mega Kiss 100 archive in the P&R section - highlight of 2006 IMO.

Not good with tunes , but my favourite dj's this year were Pole Folder, Martin Garcia and ofcourse Desyn Masiello.

My favourite sets were Desyn @ Budapest from around the begining of this year and Diggers one hour on the EM @ the Space closing

These are both off Hernans radio shows and yes, they have been fantastic. !! There are heaps more I've loved but these two are the most beautiful.

Some amazingly good local nights.
Lexicon Avenue - Brown Alley and as much for the locals as L.A.!!

After that it wouldn't be hard to guess my favorite Dj would be Hernan Cattaneo.

Anthony Pappa put in an amazing year as well. I tend to judge nights by the way they stay with me, and this may be blasphemy but although I had a great time, Digweed and Sasha didn't pass the seven day test.

Anyway hate to upset your thread Greg but maybe there should be say 2 mix comps and say 2 artist albums included. What do you guys think. Oh well here goes my 5 fav tracks from this year in no particular order. Before i begin yes this year has had some fantastic tunes, comps, and mixes. Thanks for everyone uploading and stuff. anyway 5 CHOONS i will take with me everywhere i go (if i ever get a gig )

Now these are just 5 of my fav tracks of many i should say. It has been a great year and lets hope 2007 gets even better.

As for Mix comps i would say the 2 that stand out this year are Alex Smoke hifi scifi and Mayer's immer2. Closely followed by Diggers renaissance and KiKi Boogybytes and Dj T Body language cd.

Dj i still love diggers even though i am not liking his kiss mixes from the last 2-3 weeks.
As for sets well i will get back to you guy's.
