you're agreeing because there is at least some sense of truth to the piece...The left do do tons of talking without acting. To those pacifists who actually think that fighting is always wrong, things like this will continue to occur. A pacifist ideology (similar to a true idealist's philosophy) only works where all sides think the same way. Unfortunately, in reality, this just isn't true.

I just find it reprehensible how he merely blames the left for their inability to act. It's not just the left that is standing on the sidelines and not doing anything...the right has done the same. To merely blame the left is creating sides where none really exist and just plain dishonest. Why must so many in this country make everything about sides instead of trying an objective and more honest approach?!

I don't think he is blaming the left alone. He is making a point that the left is more vocal about these situations, yet their actions are hypocritical. Example.... the left decries genocide in Darfur, but wants to pull out of Iraq. His point is that the leftists who cry about Darfur but want to pull out of Iraq are hypocrites because Saddam killed millions during his reign. The only real difference between the killing Saddam did vs. what is happening in Darfur is that the skin color is black in Africa, and George Bush has led the Iraq War. So he is accusing the left of being selective with regard to outrage over human rights.

Or you have billionaires like George Soros who call for the rich to pay 80% or more in taxes..... but he keeps all his income sheltered overseas. So he barely pays any taxes, and wouldn't if the rates were increased.

Michael Moore thinks the rich should be taxed as much as 90%. Well, he has done well. On his IRS form each year, there is a line where he can give more tax money if he chooses. Does he ever do that? No.

I fully understand his accusation of the left, but what I was trying to say is where is the accusation of the right on this same issue? Where is the criticism of the hypocrisy of the right with regards to invading Iraq, but not making any valid attempts at doing anything for Darfur?
