Get a pair of AKG K81DJ. Forget the DJ extension, they are pure quality. WAY underestimated, great bang for your buck. Just look up reviews on the net, they are quality. you can get them for maybe 50 bucks or so (I don't really know the prices in the US).
I have them myself and they are a real blast.
sennhieser 650's are the best they make, i have hd25's there good but getting dated, if u really really wanna buy a good set of headphones then get grado rs1's there the best in the world but dont expect much change from £700

That's a ridiculous amount to pay for a pair of headphones. Are they worth it?

the equivilant sound in a set of speakers will set u back @least 2 grand so i guess they might be worth it, the casings made out of mahogany , u can get them on ebay for around 400 but i worry about them being fake japanese imports
Chris uses Stanton DJ Pro 3000's, but he was recently looking into a pair of technics
A few of my M8s bought these for a friend for his birthday....paid a lot of money and has had nothing but problems...they break at the connection at the muff 2 twice..the third pair he got was electrical problems...and now don't work...i mean it may not happen to all pairs...but it happened to more then just one pair....
I still love my MDR-V500's, perfect for my head and had them for 4 years without any problems...the soundquality of the V700 is better for big clubs tho.
