damn sad news...he was quite a talented actor who fortunate for him finally got his dues through his exposure in raymond. RIP.

he was great in some movies, but that TV show sucked ass, it was nothing more than re-cycled honneymooners jokes... nobody loves raymond.

he was awesome in Yfrank, with the dancing and whatnot.

interesting fact: he was very good friends with john lennon, to the point where lennon was his best man.

he was great in some movies, but that TV show sucked ass, it was nothing more than re-cycled honneymooners jokes... nobody loves raymond.

you may not have cared for the show, but you can't deny he was hilarious as the father...

I used to love him in Everybody Love Raymond...he was one of my favourite characters in the show. Reminded me of a neighbour I had growing up.

I also really liked him in Monster's Ball...neat seeing him in something other then a comedy roll. It was really the only other thing I saw him in besides E.L.R. Definitely a talented man who lived a great life

That guy was really funny. Especially playing the cranky old man in ELR. Guess now we'll just watch Jerry Stiller as a replacement.
