If this goes as planned no TGIF. I will be cooking over candles and praying that an old growth does not fall on my house. It some pretty serious stuff, all morning it has been raining like a SOB. The ground is soaked and Mother Earth can not suck the water fast enough. This happened about a decade ago, and it really screwed up Portland.

ps. I have never tried pissing in a gust at 100 MPH (which is forecasted because of the valley funnel effect). I wonder if I can get my neighbors house.

PORTLAND, Ore. - Powerful hurricane-strength wind gusts are expected to strike the
              Oregon coast Thursday afternoon.
According to KATU Meteorologist Rhonda Shelby, the winds are expected to hit the coast by 3 p.m., an hour later than previously forecast because models are tracking slower. By noon, winds were already picking up.

Gusts are expected to be between 85 and 100 mph. Anything over 74 mph is considered a hurricane force gust. Ocean swells could reach 40 feet.
Once the winds move inland, the gusts will be between 60 to 65 mph, with 30 to 40 mph sustained winds. The peak winds for the Portland area are expected to hit sometime around 8 p.m.

Heavy rains are expected as well. By 9 a.m., Newport and Lincoln City had already seen about an inch of rain. The Portland area should get between 1 1/2 inches and 2 inches of rain, the heaviest downpours arriving in the evening hours.
