request help! trouble d/loading

Hope someone here can help...

for no apparent reason I'm suddenly having trouble d/loading files from sites such as Megaupload, Rapidshare, etc.

I seem to get to 99% of file and then it just stops and "times out". It doesn't happen all the time but is rather random. eg tried 4 times to d/l one file, each time stopping as described, then worked on 5th attempt! Quite frustrating.

I'm no geek so I'm hoping some of you technical types can help out.
