I recently bought a creative zen NX. All in all it does a good job, and was much cheaper and better value than either the iRiver and the iPod.
What moron would buy the new Sony Ipod 'Killer" ...

Looking over what each company has. I'd say the iRiver is probably the best of the bunch when it comes to recording, which is what I'm sure a lot of you will do with these things.
I only wish you could record high quality MP3 with the Ipod. I saw you can do voice but it records in mono. F mono!Comment

thats half the reason i bought the iriver...that and i could get it for 150 bucks cheaper than retail because a friend of mine works at a cd/hifi/music store....but even by that i think it owns the ipods or anything else. its got a color screen honkeys!
i still wanna know if i can get an fm tuner thing for it tho...like the ipods do, so i can play it through my car stereo.can i get a rewind?Comment

There's a lot of mp3 players out there - but the iPod has the cool factor.
But one it comes down to it...he who has the most wicked tracks on their mp3 player = WINS.Comment

I just read a comparison between Sony's NetworkWalkman and an iPod...
uploading 431 songs: 4 minutes on the iPod... 2 hours 13 minutes on Sony's (and it rejected 15 songs)

And what about HP selling iPod's now?Comment

I bought a IPOD Mini a few weeks ago which is really a good pick.
The next thing i wanna do is to hook up the player to my car.
BMW and APPLE released a adapter where u can connect the IPOD like a cd-changer to your car and control it over the multi-functional steering wheel.

Griffin Technologies released a FM-Transmitter called I-TRIP for IPOD Mini where you can listen to the sound on your car stereo or elsewhere. Not allowed in Germany, so i have to get the adapter kit for my car.
