no work monday would be swell.
but that storm wont give us much more than rain and moderately high winds. if any.
i still pray for monday off though. woot!
When I lived down there I was lucky enough only ever to encounter a tropical storm, just a hella lotta rain...but that thing seems to be a different story altogether...
Well the thing is that Florida has been rather lucky to have been able to escape many hurricanes before. This really sucks though! I just hope that we're able to escape with minimal damages, but realistically I don't think that's possible. We just have to sit tight and hope that we're safe and secure.
umm, this thing is not going to miss FL..unless it makes a near-180 turn.
350 miles wide?! It's not going to hit, it's going to RUN OVER the whole state!

Hell yeah I know that. Thank God we booked our hotel rooms in N.O. a couple of days ago. Gas stations around here are already out of gas and the ones that do have gas have cars lined out of the station onto the roads. Went to Wal-Mart a short time ago: no water, hardly any canned foods, no chips/pretzels/etc., people are going nuts! This time though, I can't say that I blame them.
