    McCain and the troop surge

    I'm starting to get a bit concerned about McCain's '08 run -- he's been the most vocal proponent of a troop surge, but the populace seems to really be against it. If we do go forward with a troop surge and it goes poorly, will he suffer the consequences at the polls?
