There's been so much good music since the start on Nov3, that it's safe to say that there's virtually been no upsets. Love it.

Thanks so much for this GE, I checked out Ben live for the first time in the very nightclub in Kingscross he talks about in the latest installment of Galaxy. I also managed to check out 2 of the 3 sets he mentioned, he was absolutely amazing, the mans a genius!

The Pedro Madeira mix is quality too!

From what I?ve seen as I?ve trawled through this thread trying to download as much as is still available online via the various file hosting sites I can certainly see you?re a big fan, respect to that!

As for Ben, the first of the two sets I caught him serve up was earlier in the day during the actual festival, he was placed between Spiritcatcher and Audiofly if I remember correctly. His festival set was extremely deep by Sydney festival standards, particularly at that time slot, and the uniqueness had the large majority of the crowd leaning against the wall, with eyes rolling back into the back of their heads, not the best look! Alas, this is indicative of how receptive the average Sydney cluber is to new, and unique music as apposed to Ben?s actual performance, because for me, I found it hard to split both his and Hernan?s offerings for ?set of the festival.? It was so deep, lush and at times melodic that I found my self constantly trying to swat the fly?s away from my gaping mouth, spell binding stuff?.He dropped everything from Bjork through to Sebo K, so it was as much a lesson in eclecticism as it was a journey in groove! (Something our beautiful city doesn?t get enough of I?m afraid.)

I then managed to drag my backside down to the after party. It was almost too much but the thought of hearing Hernan and Ben again in a more intimate setting was just too much to resist. After Hernan?s offering which was fantastic, I limped down stairs to catch Ben about 30 minutes into his set. His set in the club was VERY similar to his DNA Lounge set of 2006, and the crowd absolutely lapped it up.

The after party saw the main acts from the festival split up across two different venues, which resulted in a far more musically aware and appreciative group of people immersing themselves in quite possibly the best night of music this city has seen in a long, long time! Ben played till 6:00am and was on point from start to finish in terms of track selection and absolute tightness in his mixing. I shouldn?t have been able to talk let alone stand come 6:00am, as the 48 hours that had passed has seen me attend Armin van Buurens white party at our Olympic park which was a 6 hour set, The Festival which was a good 8 hours of mind numbingly good music, but Ben was on absolute fire through out the night.

After all that, I managed to give the man the props he deserved by congratulating him on what was probably one of the top 5 sets I had ever heard in my life, he seemed like an top bloke too?

I now find myself trying to track down as much of his stuff as possible, I kicking myself for not getting my hands on the 6 hour offering that was served up earlier last year, as well as the earlier Galaxy Radio broadcasts. If any one has any active links feel free to send them my way as I'm officially hooked!

Excuse the length of the response!
