    Way to go Frosty

Federal Way schools restrict Gore film
    'Inconvenient Truth' called too controversial

This week in Federal Way schools, it got a lot more inconvenient to show one of the top-grossing documentaries in U.S. history, the global-warming alert "An Inconvenient Truth."

After a parent who supports the teaching of creationism and opposes sex education complained about the film, the Federal Way School Board on Tuesday placed what it labeled a moratorium on showing the film. The movie consists largely of a computer presentation by former Vice President Al Gore recounting scientists' findings.

"Condoms don't belong in school, and neither does Al Gore. He's not a schoolteacher," said Frosty Hardison, a parent of seven who also said that he believes the Earth is 14,000 years old. "The information that's being presented is a very cockeyed view of what the truth is. ... The Bible says that in the end times everything will burn up, but that perspective isn't in the DVD."

      Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

Actually I kinda think that perspective was in the film, burn up, melt away, flood, same difference...just one little tidbit for the dumbass, in one case it's god doing the harm and in the other it's humans, but why squabble over a little fact like that.

                    Re: Way to go Frosty

there is a lot of political propaganda in the movie but the "facts" presented are all common sense...

deforestation + to much pollution + melting ice caps + wtf have we done = disaster

definately a huge wake up call. i dont know what the weather is doing elsewhere in the world but here in the states its way phucked up. 50 degrees in Jan. when it should be 10 degrees or below.....scary

^^^^ Same thing in Europe. Normally it should be freezing in Belgium now, but it's above 10°C constantly.

Oil prices are going down to the lowest levels in 1,5yrs because nobody is heating his house...

sorry my brain obviously isn't functioning today. You know what I mean though

I've only managed to get in a handful of beach days this summer, where usually I'd have the option of every weekend if I wanted to
