Have fun west coast. This has been such a crazy winter. In Ohio is has been some what cold but nothing drastic like yrs past. As for snow we have hardly gotten nothing at all. So you guys can keep the snow and the cold weather. I am actully liking this winter so far.

its actually pretty much all gone now. little ice on little driven roads... some piles of ice on the sides, but just snowed the one day and now its mid 30s. thats ptld for you.

Global Warming Kinky. That is why it is snowing. Becuase as the Earth gets hotter you get colder temperature. Did you not watch the Gore flick?

Have to correct you on that Dom: the weather in Europe and in most of the world at this moment (we got rain floods in some Australian deserts for example as well) is that this is an El Ni?o year. I'm convinced global warming is a fact, but it all gets multiplied by a factor 2 or more this time due to the influences of that warm ocean current that wags it's tail every 3 to 8 years. We just got a nasty one this time .

We've had 2 storms in the past 2 weeks, fucking madness since in january it normally doesn't storm at all (not until maybe end of feb/beginning march). Like Kinky, we've had only a few days under 5 centigrade, and nothing but everlasting wind and rain since beginning november, and it's driving me crazy right now! I just want cold, crisp and dry winterdays...take out my camera and go to the beach and take some pics. I love those days, everything seems so radiant because of the extremely clear air.

What I really took personal with that storm yesterday: riding my bike, accelerating to cross a HUGE puddle without scooping all the water into my shoes (so you can pull up your legs), and right in the fecking middle a sudden head-on blow of the wind brings me to a full stop...with 15 cm (6 inches) of water below me. fuck that shit.

Correct. And to think that the storm that hit Europe yesterday was the fiercest one we've had in 4 years.

What I really took personal with that storm yesterday: riding my bike, accelerating to cross a HUGE puddle without scooping all the water into my shoes (so you can pull up your legs), and right in the fecking middle a sudden head-on blow of the wind brings me to a full stop...with 15 cm (6 inches) of water below me. fuck that shit.

When I arrived home yesterday I forgot to check where the wind was coming from before I got out of my car. As I opened my door, I noticed it came from right behind me, but it was already too late. A nice gust of wind made me lose my grip on the handle and nearly took the entire door off, fucking up the hinges big time. God, I hate this shit weather!

Yeah...10/11 Beaufort, 12 in some places. Guess we got a nice taste of those hurricanes some of you get every year .

Pretty screwed up for you Jan, I only had wet feet which cost me nothing but you're properly fucked! I haven't heard much about Belgium, but I hope people got off well there - we had about 6 dead people if I'm correct. The branches that I saw torn off were enough to convince me to stay home that evening, and one of my friends had a roof tile smashing into bits just inches behind his back, which scared the shit out of him. I've only seen one worse storm, and that was the one in 1990, that one was worse that this one and had me laying awake all night - 17 dead after that one, strength 12 Bft...

I guess I'm lucky that I haven't really suffered tho...no wood for the windows and shit like that, or flooding. Just really annoying.
