All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soon

So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:

      1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
      2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
      3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
      4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...

      Am I close here?

Sure...but I would suspect this is only the beginning for going after all the other upload sites.

I wonder why this always takes so long...upload services are the new disease since over a Year already...total anarchy and zero control.

Exactly. And if they are shut, there will be something else. I don't think you can really control what's going over 'the net' in general sense. All these authorities seem unable to grasp it...

I only down sets from RS, so I have no clue at all what else is hosted there, but I can guess if GEMA is jumping on it.

@ TomTom: would you like them to hunt on a faster pace or what?

@ ubique: I think you can control what's going over the net up to a certain point if you can create a mentality change with the users. Let's face it: this shit is nice 'n' all, but flagrant abuse will only encourage authorities to find ways to restrict the use of internet. Unfortunately most people don't know how to deal with the freedom they're given...

Of course not (have you checked our P+R forum yet? ) and I am not afraid of what I download because it is all about DJ mixes for me. I know everything is shared on these free services from Kiddie porn to expensive Software and I just think it is funny that authorities with all the committees and task forces they build are always so much behind Internet evolution.

Take it from an independant consultant, there are only two kinds of people on such committees and task forces:
                  - Category 1: the die hard idealists who can't make a project advance because they lack training and knowledge.
                  - Category 2: the hired help (read: consultants) for whom a slow pace equals more hours/days to bill the client.

And ow yeah, then there are the cops. In Belgium they even have their own "internet commando team": the Federal Computer Crime Unit. Lemme tell you, I've never seen so many clueless would-be IT nerds in uniform together in one room as there...

If the private sector doesn't say that there has got to come an end to a certain P2P system, it just isn't happening (or it is at rediculous speed).
