    It all depends on how they did it and what their intentions were. There are tactful ways of displaying disturbing subjects. If the motivation behind doing so is one of genuine altriusm, concern, or something along those lines...that shows. If the motivation behind doing so is one of shock value, self-promotion, or other less elegant human characteristics...that shows, too.

        read what the director says about imo. then you'd know.
        it doesn't even show a child being raped. it infers that the child is being rapped.
        the director didn't want to cut this part because the story relies on it but its not at all what this film is about.

        religious people are taking it way toooooo far imo.
        pillow humping rules.
