                ive tried using slsk .but i find that people don't share that much....
                i was sharing my gig or 2 of stuff...but you had to really look for people that wanted to share....they wanna Dl from me but not share....

                kind od turn me off on that ? this was about a year or 2 ago....
                things might have changed ? ..i hope

                      slsk is just fine... I've always been able to find whatever I was looking for in there. Ok, almost everything.

                      eMule is good as well.

                        true, there are not many users who actualy share filles, but i usualy find one in the end

                            Does your laptop have a new p4 cpu with hyperthreading on it? Soulseek does not play nicely with hyperthreading CPUs, but this is easily corrected by assigning soulseek CPU affinity.

                            ctrl-alt-delete -> processes -> right click on soulseek.exe -> set affinity -> pick either cpu (check mark one of them)
