The Oswego County town on has received nearly 90 inches of snow this week as lake-effect squalls continue to pile it on in communities along the lake's eastern end. In the neighboring town of Parish, they've received 94 inches. And the National Weather Service say some parts of the region could get a good deal more before the weekend is over. There are unofficial reports of some communities already hitting the 100-inch mark for snowfall totals. Governor Spitzer yesterday declared a state disaster emergency for Oswego County, where ambulances have gotten stuck in the snow and had to be rescued by other emergency vehicles. Fire officials in the city of Oswego say snow plows have to lead the way for fire trucks called out of emergencies.
