what? I gave you my lego line up and I also gave you my playmobil line up. What else do you want for me?

ps. I just got this last week. Took forever to ship, but I am happy I got it.

judging by #1 on your playmobil lineup, i'm starting to question your sexual orientation

Dude. I am a total dude. I like to play family once in a while, is there any thing wrong with that?

I loved Legos when I was a kid but I never liked those special editions too much where you build something uing a model as master where you do not have that much freedom besides to choose if your space station has an antenna or not . I have to admit though I had a moon base as well but never played much with it because it was boring. I don't wanna sound like my grandfather but space stations and other Lego predesigned models were the 1st step in the 80ties to ruin kid's creativity and to make their parents spend more money because their kids get bored more easily of their toys as options are limited. My parents bought me building sets with pieces you can use for many motifs and build whatever comes to your mind. I remember creating worlds around my Carrera racecourse including airports, a swimming pool and other pimp goodies.

                /sarcasm
I would first like to thank Santa for dropping off all of those nice Lego Star Wars toys this past christmas, my son absolutely loves them (he's 5). It has been so much fun wasting countless amounts of hours putting them together only to have my son pull a piece off and run up to me to have it put back on, and then try to figure out how he got it off of there in the first place.
                /end of sarcasm

Seriously...I enjoyed Legos as a kid and I enjoy them even more now because I get to watch my son enjoying his. But within a year I have probably put 20 different Lego models together and have stepped on so many pieces in the model of the night without sceaming that I am over them. Nothing against Legos but damn if your going to put them together go out and by the glue for them too, that way the pieces don't come off. So now everytime he gets a Lego we glue it together...

i also had a huge lego collection. and recently wondered where it all went. i suspect my momz threw it out or gave it away to another family.

another fun batch of toys i loved was Tinker Toys. i used to always put together the lawn mower and cut the carpet.

Space shuttle was one of my favourites. My castle is still intact in the eaves along with many a contraption from my own technic skills.

Boring? The hell it was boring! That space Lego just rocked! Here's my favo one:

Not true. Imo shit like GI Joe et al was the real first step. I used to build according to the plans once, fool around a bit with it and then break it down and make something new out of it. Or just pimped my jet liner with it

Great thread Ano, brings back a lot of nostalgia

^^^ Exactly. You'd end up with cars with satellite dishes on their roofs and house with guns mounted on them. My favourite house I built had the glass door off the lego shop I also had, and it made my lego house cooler then all the other lego houses out there.
