I told my girl not to expect anything. She knoows. I rather spend and do something special on our Annavirsary.

I picked her up after work, we went to "Hot Wings Cafe" and rented a movie. No card, no gift. No complaints.

just under two months. we've lived together for 4 months so I think she's counting the 4 months. I decided to cook a nice meal at home since we hadn't been together too long, and since she hates Christmas because it's a bullshit religious soul-sucking holiday. She didn't even go visit family or friends on Christmas.. just stayed home by herself while I was out of town for 3 days. Apparently the Catholic-based Valentine's Day isn't as much of a bullshit, religious, soul-sucking holiday. Now I know

My wife and I have a nice deal on valentine's. We don't make a big deal out of it. We merely acknowledge the day (perhaps with a card) and then when it's her birthday next week we go all out (spend half as much and get to do and buy twice as much...can't lose )

sorry to hear that pickle, but I could tell you I've had fights (and breakups) with previous gfs many many times...in fact two long term relationships of mine ended on the day

My g-friend of 6 months started a fight as we were going to sleep. Something along the lines of "I don't show enough emotion" and she does not know how I feel about her. After walking out of my house at 1 o'clock in the morning and knocking on the door to come back inside, we finally got everything worked out.

She a little frreaked that we're flying up to DC this weekend to meet her parents for the first time - and she wants to be 100% sure that I'm into her as much as she is into me. Needless to say I did not get much sleep last night...

I started a fight on V day myself. Since we weren't together I sent her an e-card even though we had something planned later on.

Anyways, I got a reply saying thank you for the card, it's very sweet, yakkity yak, ... And then she says she's going out tonight since it's also St. Tifur in Macedonia: a feast where everybody drinks to get drunk. That was it, enough to make me pop a fuse or two.

So yeah, I gave her hell to that extent that after I was done she probably had to pull her nipples from her ears like a cork from a bottle *foomp*

The good thing about this is that you're in a splendid position for post conflict negotiating. The compensations were ample, hehehehe. Yes, God made me an evil son of a bitch and I'm glad he made me that way

Man, it's so tough to know what to do when you haven't been dating too long. It's truly a minefield, and many a great man has stepped on a mine or two on February 14th. Take it in stride, hopefully there are no lasting effects...

no, she's agnostic. but she doesn't see Valentine's Day as a religious holiday like she does Christmas. And the fight started waaaaaay before I started cooking.

i,m single and still to this day i hate vlentines day, not because i,m single its due to the fact that sometimes trying to impress doesnt always keep them happy, mostly they expect more than u can give which sux lol
