heard this on the radio yesterday and the production is sick. good stuff..
anyone else hear that she began her career doing vocals for trip hop tracks? i heard that somewhere, cant remember where.
you dont think the production is (for the most part) original and clever? or do you mean the lyrics?
i mean the lyrics. to me, if you're gonna have vocals in music, they'd better be solid. covering up bad lyrics with great production is not cool...and yes, the production is good in this case.

a solid lyricist is not easy to find, in any genre.
couldn't agree more, which is why i think the good ones should be celebrated all the more..
compare the lyrics from a great canadian artists, the tragically hip:
Bring on the springtime bring on the houseflies bring on the butterscotch river overspilling its banks if you got you some withering power to amuse you'll find its greatest frustration has its entertaining value
- "the membership"
now, say it right lyrics...
In the day In the night Say it all Say it right You either got it Or you don't You either stand or you fall When your will is broken When it slips from your hand When there's no time for joking There's a hole in the plan
first set of lyrics are thought provoking and poetic. second set sounds like it was written by a highschool student...
