My favorite too (for pils that is). I drank so much of that when I lived in Prague- def. more than water. Shit back then, it was only 15 krowns a half-liter- more or less 50 cents.

spaten and stella are both better. urquell is decent. most oregon microbrews rule over any of them.

I find that out of the mainstream i.e. more readily available beers in England Kronenburg is the best...

I was about to flame your pants off for that remark, but I guess the point is valid when you live in the States. It's very weird to see that the beer we just drink every day is marketed like some hip & trendy beverage in the US. Bollox imo: Stella is the best pils around (together with Jupiler), but it's nothing more than just a pils. When you want something special, drink Leffe, Duvel, Chimay, Kwak, Trapist, whatever...

How much do you guys have to pay for a bottle of Stella overthere?

Kronenburg? Uhmz... I only drink that French foam lemonade when I'm in France. Good stuff to down in one on a blistering hot summer afternoon, but a bit light in alcohol percentage as well as flavor.

Then again, compared to what most English pubs have on draught (read: tepid foamless horse piss), I agree with you

btw the domestic beer in the us SUCKS. i hate having to spend like 20$ on good beer and only get 8 of em or so.
