Any Ideas for Naming a New Club?

Hey, what do you all think is most important in naming a new club? Just one syllable? One catchy word? I know its hard to name a place without seeing the finished product, but I bring this question to you all more generally---- I'm involved with a club I cannot mention. However, we are searching for a name and have a few ideas, but haven't found the right one yet. The basic theme of the place will be underwater, but any good name will do. Also, our club is all about the music, which is important. It is the only place in our city that truly pushes innovative music, i.e.--progressive, breaks etc. Any thoughts???? Thanks.

    Busted!!
    you just mentioned it.
i think a lot of it has to do with who will play there, look of club, type of music.

you dont wanna silly name like the pink panther pussy cat lounge, if you're serving up house or tech .

just my fraction of a dollar.

From a general club-goer perspective: I've been to many clubs and for me it doesn't really matter what the name is. What truly defines a club is how I'm treated, cost/quality of drinks, music, atmosphere, sound system, cleanliness, and cost of admission. Those are my main criteria. I've been to places named: Zinc, Plasma, Orbit, The Edge, Visage, Loft, Tabu, Barbarella, Sapphire Supper Club, just to name a few. What matters though is which of those I just named did I choose to go back to after my initial experience.

I totally agree with what you're saying. The club will most definitely be the best in the city, top quality drinks & service, top quality music, TOP quality sound system etc. etc. That is what we pride ourselves on --- However, I feel a name is also an important component of the club's success. Not the most important, but definitely a very important aspect for the opening weekend.

I think "CumGuzzlers" has a nice ring to it.

If it's an underwater theme then I think Aqua would be cool. Maybe Submerge b/c it's underwater. I think those are cool names. I'd definately say one syllable is better. You need something short that people can remember. Good luck!
