    Re: question about headphones

If you want to get a deal on some headphones, dj stuff, go to Midwest Audio on Diversey & Clark. You can save a ton there....sometimes up to 50%....

I use Panasonic surround sound i like the big ear muffs that cover all of my ears that way i get more bass more club sounding you can get them easy for 100 bucks and i find them very comfortable. Since you ask the question you will get very different answers but in the end it's all a matter of taste and money.

              Re: question about headphones

I will throw my brand spankin new promo pair of AKG 181 DJ headphones into the mix... A. They have better specs then my Sony 700s and B. They are metal (Magnesium at the hinges) not plastic that always cracks. Do they seem as good sounding and powerful as my Sonys? It's a pull but old habits die hard (These headphones are acoustically very flat... like studio monitors). Am I still happy with them?... Hell yes... probably since they were free however... Honestly though, they rock. They really do look and sound fucking great.... That and you don't see other DJs wearing them... which is always a good thing.... Apparently they aint cheap ($199 U.S.) but you get what you pay for.

I'm still happy w/ my pio hdj's, but i just recently noticed a crack in them and i'm generally pretty gentle with them.

                        Love my Technics...things are tanks.

Broke my Pio's too after 2 years of use $40 to send them off minimum charge to try and get fixed...at the prices they still are at, may not be a bad idea.

nice site. You know, this probably won't go through (I'm trying anyway ) but here's a deal: on their site they had a Vestax VMC-004XL mixer priced at $0.00. I just ordered it and my total is $18 with shipping

(hey it doesn't I'll just cancel the order)

If you wanna kick it with some wicked earphones for the mp3 player, go with the Shure E4's...they cost more than dj headsets, but it's the best purchase I've made in years. They sound a hell of a lot better than my Pioneers & Sony's...

a flat response rate for dj headphones....doesn't sound like dj HP's sounds like studio Hps to me. AKG makes some nice Hp's. Good for studio use.
