      blue light special what?

well you do get the effects in the kick a little bit if you stretch the master tempo to more then 4% on average...but your mileage does vary.

I actually just got MMC cards for them the other day finally....never came with them where I ordered it. 2 16MB cards for $6. I guess the small sizes still have a benefit or 2 of being so cheap

see. That's what I meant. I've been saying I want the CDJ800's over the 200's for the vinyl feel...but it's not vinyl. And I won't treat them like I'm spining vinyl either. So why bother...I'll get the 200's anyway.

And all the ppl I know who use Master Tempo do it because they're crazy about making sure everything stays mixed in key. I like things that are all in the same key as much as the next guy but imho the master tempo can be heard as a slightly whack effect on every fourth or eighth kick and it drives me nuts
            too true, lol..
I use cdj mode.. sometimes vinyl, depends if i am in a hurry to get the track cued or not
both pretty much the seem the same to me except for the cueing factour. plus if you like to adjust using the jog wheel in cdj mode the adjustment to me seems a lot less noticeable unless you really push it forward drastically or pull it back too much.

I have an 800 and a 200 at home, like them and would reccomend them both for different reasons.. i have access to 1000's when i play out, so no real need to buy them for myself.

Re: how do you use your CDJ's

I'd use the jog for drastic stuff, the pitch for finetuning, just like I did when playing vinyl...

i have always used mine in Vinyl mode. i assumed that everyone else did to. i have an 800 and a 1000 mk3 i guess i'll try in CD mode and see if it is any different
