I'm writing an essay and I copied and pasted a fragment of sentence from wikipedia and it had made the whole paragraph have a background of a different shade of white??? Whats this all about and how do I remove it>>>I know this would be in dig scribbles normally but i need help asap as i have to hand this vie e-mail...

Is it showing up as text? If so, then you should just be able to hit Ctrl-A and then Format-->Background-->No Fill. Considering that you're using MS Word that is.

it doesn't work...well it does but no change. If i select the whole document and click on black background it applies to the whole document apart from that paragraph! Any other suggestion because I am honestly clueless!!!

I just tried it and it works fine for me. Try copy and pasting into Notepad first then copy and paste from there to Word. Or copy and paste from wiki to babelfish and then to Word. Something like that.
