Enjoy your night guys. Hey Skahound ... I thought you were banned from all US clubs for scrapping on the dancefloor !

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

            Re: Digweed/MSTRKRFT - Pacha, NYC

there was this opening dj who wasn't that good, not eally into his set but he had some good tunes

the mastercraft guys came, plugged in their equipment in like 10 minutes (can't they have their thing ready???) and started with some serious bass electro stuff, not too much my thing but they had the crowd moving in a second. One of them is fun to watch, he's really into his thing. they played from 12h30 to 2am.stayed electro,a bit housy house at one point. I have this one rule about daft punk: no one else should play their homework album, it's just been done and done again; and they played rollin scratching before to last.that realy killed it for me.can't remember what they finished off with.

digs came on and I can tell you everything changed. he started low as usual, I guess to recapture and to make the room his. from 2 to like 2h30 was some nice prog records, lots of bass. he upped the tempo after and started delivering really nasty nasty stuff. by that time, I was baked, gin and tonic do have an effect on me.
I remember turning around around 3h15, the place was going balistic, really really dark and evil atmosphere - I can tell you one thing, the music at that time was pounding your soul - that guy was just throwing.
at 3h30, you felt a change and I turned around to a friend (his first time to see digs) and told him: get ready. from then it was absolute madness, we were right in front just bellow the booth and he seemed to be having some fun, relaxed, we were going nuts. the guys that come up with that kind of productions can't be mentally ok. must be eating lrn's blended kittens in the morning. he then went on until like 4h and we had to leave
all in all much more than expected

                  Re: Digweed/MSTRKRFT - Pacha, NYC

This set really reminded me of diggers circa 2001/2002. Much darker than usual, which in my opinion was exactly what i've been waiting for for years.

I've been to every digweed show in NYC since 2003, and this my friends, was hands down the absolute best!! I'm still trying to digest everything, but wow, what a night!

Any chance on getting this set??

"killed it" seems to be a common description for digweaves sets lately. i have been saying the same thing about his pawnshop gig. wouldn't mind havin a day to roam through johnny's present cd case.
