The thing is ,he goes on about using it to throw loops in etc, but all I ever hear from him is the standard mix from one record to the next as per normal. Unless he's doing it so subtley, but if he is whats the point if you can't tell, and therefore appreciate it?

It?s an interview for the Ableton site, he just said what everyone else says, the marketeer?s point of view is that it?s Digweed, who cares if he?s making it all up?

                Re: Digweed on Ableton

i'm not one for believing that the human race originated in Africa. There is proof that at one time many millions of years ago, the entire world was of one part that slowly broke apart.

Now Onto Digweed. I was watching that MTV (please forgive me) program...i'm from Rolling Stone. This girl did a shitty interview with Ice Cube, so her super told her to get on message boards and look through old interviews from him to get her information.

Sounds like what this guy might have done. Diggers always says he doesn't use Ableton for anything except doing edits and his radio show. So that doesn't take a whole lot of knowledge in Live to know how to do that.

if you study genetics and the like, it all comes down to chromozones, and if u date it back (assuming i remember correctly), the original pairing was along the lines of 'YY', which means the first human to walk the earth was a black female

course i read the abvove information on a toilet wall, so maybe someone can confirm this/tidy it up

Show me a single dance music interview which has ever had substance and I will give you a million dollars. Seriously they're always a complete waste of time to read because there's usually no point at all to them.

The Fuckpony don talks minimal hype, superstar DJs and living on the streets in his first RA interview.

Jay Haze talks about the Fuckpony split and how he met Villalobos in part two of his RA interview. Read part one.

I thought this one was pretty good.

Saying what is good and what is bad is subjective as you can never please everyone.

Now - onto the point of Digweed and Ableton - it's not like he's selling his soul to the devil. You don't see him using it at his gigs. As he says, it's for his radio show and edits. When you consider how much he's on the road touring and performing you can see how having a laptop with Ableton means he can do a mix in his hotel, on a plane or wherever. It makes me laugh how some people make a big deal out of it - talk about six degrees of sycophancy.
