Looking for a good club in Boston?

Me and my girlfriend are going to Boston in April from the 18th-22nd. I know Avalon is there and friday nights are suppost to be good, but is there anything else or is it just a drinking town. Anything from dnb to downtempo to house of any kind. If you know anything please let me know and either post here or PM me. Thanks in advance, Billy Z

hey billy, i live in boston and i can pretty much tell you all that is happening in that weekend, tho not before a week or 2 before it happens. a lot of cool little things happen in boston, so its kind of hit or miss. most events happen in small bars and clubs. avalon can be ok, but imo i hate the place. dave ralph is killing with shitty djs... the crowd there sucks too. so i would steer clear imo (although it is a massive club with a good sound system). here are some good references for event listings... or you can just pm me a week before you leave.... (i would recommend that, i will give you a good list of things to check out....)

pissed i am missing that... a girl i am dating is running the boston marathon for charity and this night is part of her fund raising ... too bad i am in europe...

Thanks guys for the heads up. I was recently informed about Matthew Dear and his abilities as a dj/producer so it would have been great to check him out. I'm just hoping for some good sounds while me and my girl are there. We are set to land on wed afternoon(18th) and do some of the usual tourist stuff, but I also want to take in some of the nightlife (and maybe record shops) while there. So anything you can send my way would be appreciated.
