as of last week i have been making a serious effort to drink less soda. or 'pop' as you northerners call it. from last monday til right now i have only had 5 soda's. thats pretty fucking good considering before that i was drinking a 2liter of pepsi almost daily. i can't say that i feel much different, but i've heard people mention that when they cut the caffeine out of their diets completely they feel better and sleep better too. the whole reason im trying it is to sleep better. that and i like having teeth. anyone else ever gone cold turkey?

i dont drink soda and never really have, but i have read that if you drink a soda a day and you remove that from your diet... you lose 15lbs over a year -

can't say i've had any headaches. there were 2 days in a row last week i only drank juice or water and dont remember having any headaches. thats a good sign i suppose. i would think after the amount i was drinking on a daily basis, that stopping would fuck me up. but so far so good.Comment

some docs say that cafine can be good for u, apparently it helps stimulate the liver if u drink a certain amount a day but by fuck a bottle of poopsie is a lotComment

But yeah, soda is bad for ya, no nutritional value. Drink water...Your body is made up of it and needs it. It needs to be replaced...So, drink water, or if you hate the taste of water, have flavored water..not as good for you, but....Comment

5 cans in just over a week aint healthy either. You've done well to take the initial steps. if I were in your shoes I'd just cut it out totally.
Nothing beats quenching your thirst with water, and since it's not packed with salts you won't feel thirsty again 10 minutes later.
