    Favorite B&W Film?

I was just wondering about peoples favorite olden golden films...

I just watched the Big Sleep for the 50th time so wanted to know what are peoples favorite Black and White films and if anyone still watches them?

I rememebr this time my brother and I sat down to watch the legend of sleepy hollow with johnny depp. Our component cable for the colors was messed up and I didn't know anything about that stuff at the time and I just figured they made the movie in black and white. Needless to say we sat and watched it in black and white and I think it was better than when I watched it in color.

But for actual B/W movies I'll have to say Stalag 14.

Eraserhead from David Lynch without any doubt. Not an oldie though, it's from 1977.

          Dr. Strangelove was the bomb.

Casablanca. Only seen it once and it was fairly recently but I was hooked on the story right away.

In fact I might I think I'm in the mood to watch it right now.

Watched Metropolis with my old flatmate who had to study it as part of her german degree, thought it was pretty cool.

Another recent B&W flick which I thought was very good was "pi"
