Believe it or not, someone actually tripped on the power cord

Naa a severed power cable at the datacenter took the entire DC offline. Luckily, 5 of the 7 rooms were back on the Backup Genset, unluckily, ours was in the 2 that didn't have one

Anyhow good to see we're back on

That's when I stopped stressing about the possibility of [ms] having taken a nosedive again. Good to see we're back in business again

Btw Kamal, an incident with one single power cable taking out an entire DC... Why is it that critical components like that aren't redundant? In my line of business (chemical industry, power plants, ...) back up systems are standard for critical processes. Not pointing fingers here, just curious about this...

naa that was a joke about the power cable, I'm sure there was much larger power outtage where the DC is
