Marking new or changed topics

Hope this haven't been posted yet ...

Since the new forums, it seems like when you log in, ALL topics you didn't read so far (also the ones in previous MS sessions) or topics that contain new posts, are now marked as 'unread' (orange flag on the left of the topic title), and not only the topics that were changed or added since the last visit. Personally, I prefer that only the topics, that were changed or added since the visit, are marked as 'unread'. Is there a way to configure this?

not quite sure what you're getting at, but then again, it's 3:20am, it might be just me.

As you said, every new topic or response you did not read so far is marked with an icon next to the topics. If you would like to check only the new postings since your last visit go to the Forum Index. Right next to where it says "Forum Index" you have these options:

View unanswered posts
View posts since last visit
Mark all forums read

Click on the second link and you see a summary of the new replies/threads since your last visit. :wink:
