    Re: Bought My New System

    look who you're talking about

Rather then buy a pre-made system, it's a lot easier in the end to buy the exact components you want separately, as pre-made "name" systems often use cheaper components and don't allow expandability, or a lot of it for that matter.

But you got to pick it all out usually...the case, motherboard, processor type and speed, RAM and how much, heatsinks, case fans, burners, hard drives, connectors, the list goes on and on...while it's easy to burn through money and spend several grand on a "power" system, the one I just built works very well and can cost $5-$600 total...which is cheaper then some name-brand desktops in some cases, especially if you have parts you can dig out of an older system to use.

It's a complex puzzle sometimes, but you just need to double-check to ensure every thing's compatible with each other...

I am nice to you on slsk? You were always coming after me like a jew who's starving for some water. For years I told you to back off and leave me alone yet you kept coming at me because you think like a woman.

^ ^ Not a bad setup but if you actually listen to music, you'll want to get rid of that Soundblaster Live! card. You're gonna hate the output from that thing.
A question here, "trible" fan? Do you mean triple? Damn, that has to be loud.

You know he was lying right? I'm the same to him in both respects but it's his own fault. Seriously, the kid doesn't understand what "fuck off" means.

Back to the topic... that CM Stacker is pretty cool. My coworker got one in February '06 and has a massive amount of low noise 120s in it.

audiotherapy, I would strongly suggest you upgrade that PSU sooner than later as Ultras are known for having bad efficiency and fluctuating power which we all know is bad. Hopefully, that Antec case holds up for you. The major gripe from owners of their cases are the plastic parts being quite flimsy and breaking on them. Not everyone complains, just the ones that have to put them together and have opened and removed parts several times. All of a sudden they can no longer fit properly and lots of noise is generated.
